The NFL has been in the news a lot this offseason, as the league continues to battle with a slew of lawsuits over its labor practices.
That’s led to a flurry of new advertisements that are featuring former players and coaches, as well as current players and players from the NFL’s two major franchises, the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons.
In a list that includes several new NFL-themed advertisements, one of the best is this one from the New York Jets, featuring former NFL linebacker Paul Kruger, who played for the Patriots from 1990 to 1998.
Kruger’s spot, which was first released this week, also includes former Atlanta Falcons running back and former San Francisco 49ers defensive end Ray Lewis.
The Jets also have an ad for former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Tom Brady, which features former New England Patriot tight end Martellus Bennett.
The ads also include a new commercial for the Detroit Lions, which is part of the league’s commitment to providing football ads for a second consecutive year.
The Detroit Lions will be the first NFL team to have the NFL ads for their new stadium in the 2020 season.
The stadium, which will be built in Detroit’s Woodward Park, will be open for football in 2020.
The Lions are expected to play in the new stadium for the first time in 2021.
The NFL also has a new ad for the New Orleans Saints, which highlights their brand of “sport.”
It features former NFL defensive end Joey Bosa, who has spent the last four years playing for the Saints.
Bosa, a free agent who signed a five-year, $100 million deal with the Saints, recently told reporters that he thinks he’s ready to take over for departed defensive tackle Aaron Donald in New Orleans.
“I’ve got the heart and I’ve got a great attitude,” Bosa said.
“It’s not about money.
It’s about winning football games and getting to that point.”
The league’s newest ad for a new franchise is for a team in the Arizona Cardinals.
It features current NFL linebacker Deone Bucannon, who starred at Ohio State.
The Cardinals are expected be the team to play the New Jersey Devils in 2020, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.
Bucannon’s spot features a former Ohio State star, cornerback Johnathan Cyprien, who will be joining the Cardinals as a coach.
Buccannon is the third former Bucannon player to appear in an NFL ad.
The first two were former Cleveland Browns cornerback Brandon Weeden and former Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Dannell Ellerbe.
Ellerbe, who signed with the Bills this offseason after spending the past two seasons with the Browns, starred for the Bengals from 2009-10.
Elliott, who is currently with the Cardinals, is the first former Bucannons player to make an NFL commercial appearance.
Eliott played for Cincinnati from 2014-15.
The latest ads also feature former Chicago Bears running back Jay Cutler, who was the NFL Network’s Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2014.
The Bears, who are currently 2-1 heading into the 2020 campaign, will play the Carolina Panthers in 2020 as part of a deal with ESPN.
The Bears’ 2018 campaign featured a spot for former NFL running back Terrance West, who also spent time in Cincinnati.
West’s spot featured the former Bengals star who recently signed a deal to become the Bears’ starting running back for 2020.
The new ads for the Arizona Coyotes and New York Islanders, who both play in Arizona, feature former NFL players, as does a new Arizona-themed ad from the Buffalo Bills.
The Arizona-based Coyotes, who play in Tucson, Ariz., will play in New York in 2020 under a new stadium deal with Barclays Center.
The Islanders, currently 2–3 heading into 2020, will take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2020 at Madison Square Garden.
The Bills, who have won two of the past three seasons, are also expected to start in 2020 for the third time in their history.
The Bills are currently 5–1.
The team is scheduled to open the 2020-21 season on Nov. 10 against the Detroit Tigers.
